Hello

Products that move. Systems that scale.

Creative direction came up through Sony Music. Systems architecture came up through a dozen years at Columbia and a Fortune 100. Most people run one. I run both, in the same space.

Dual DNA

Usually two people, two departments, two separate paths. Here, one direction.

The creative director

Narrative-led design. Visual craft. Brand expression. Cultural fluency.

Wins attention. Builds equity. Makes things fans want to show off.

Sony Music · SoloDallas · Bower

The experience architect

Information architecture. Design systems. WCAG accessibility. Generative AI in the mix.

Removes friction. Moves numbers. Survives scale.

Columbia · Publicis Sapient · Fidelity

How I operate

  1. Systems over one-offs

The brand narrative and the UX component library answer to the same logic. Hand them to separate teams and you ship two products wearing the same logo.

  2. Clarity from complexity

A hundred-plus experiences into a single prototype. Dense information is never an excuse for a dense interface.

  3. Cross-disciplinary translation

Strategy with executives. Trade-offs with engineering. Story with creative teams. One problem, three vocabularies, nothing lost on the way between them.

  4. Raising the room

I taught UX method to NLP research scientists so they could co-design the interface themselves. At SVA I was asked back to teach the course that accelerated my entertainment journey. Most of what I have led, I led without a reporting line — so the measure is whether the room got better at it.

  5. Outcome-oriented craft

Refinement anchored to research and a number. Five designers spending three weeks became one designer's afternoon.

Media & entertainment

Bob Dylan. Tony Bennett. John Mayer. Campaigns moved through product managers and legal, up to label presidents and a CEO signature. I also built the internal platform global engineers learned media archival on: architecture, translation, a design system, from a fresh install.

Advertising concept, content strategy, UX/UI, web development and the products themselves; guitar gear people were proud to show off. Campaigns included “Instant Angus,” “Back in Stock” and “Vintage Trouble,” on tour with AC/DC. Guns N’ Roses. Keith Urban. Loud on purpose.

Enterprise & systems

Twelve years running design for data science leaders. The front end for a foreign-language large language model: right-to-left interface engineering, multiple languages and dialects, years before the category had a name or a valuation. Also built the platform that became the Institute’s primary industry sales vehicle, a 600% increase in global partnerships, Bloomberg from the start.

Publicis Sapient

Humana, Genentech, Wawa. Led UX strategy and end-to-end design in heavily regulated environments, with research, design-system thinking and WCAG accessibility as the foundation rather than the final pass.

Rebuilding how a Fortune 100 shows product to enterprise buyers. The department-wide sales demo re-engineered on Figma variables and generative AI tooling into one high-fidelity, data-driven prototype... the primary sales enablement tool for the 2025/2026 season, in the room for contract negotiations on multi-million-dollar accounts.

Brand & identity

Bower USA — view the Bower case study

A 1940s brand modernized with its CEO. That logo has held their NYC flagship for twenty years and appears in the background of every New Year’s Eve broadcast from Times Square.

Vuephoria

My own shop, running since 2000. Twenty-six years, alongside all of it.

Off the clock

I play drums and guitar. I am gear obsessed... pedals, plugins, the whole chain and whatever comes out the end of it. SoloDallas was that obsession with a business attached.

I build with AI rather than talk about it. I shipped a language-model interface in 2010 and re-engineered a legal approval workflow with generative tooling last year. The model has never been the interesting part. The interface is.

And New York. SVA. Sony. Columbia. A logo that has held a Manhattan storefront for twenty years. The city is the constant. Made here.

Next

If it is hard, I am in.

Products that move. Systems that scale. Same space.

Executive Summary

Most designers build for the next release. I build for the next decade. I am the person organizations bring in when the problem is too complex, too strategic, or too high-stakes for a narrow specialist; from directing global campaigns for music legends to building AI-driven language interfaces years before the category existed, my career has scaled through legacy, complexity, and efficiency. I bring the strategic vision of a Chief Creative Officer and the hands-on precision of a senior designer; because the right design, the right narrative, and the right system don’t just solve problems… they change what’s possible.

Professional Experience

Fidelity Investments (Fidelity Health) | Senior UX Designer

May 2023 – Present
  • Business Growth: Deliver the primary sales enablement tool for the 2025/2026 sales season, directly supporting contract negotiations and the acquisition of multi-million-dollar enterprise accounts.
  • Operational Leadership: Re-engineered the department-wide sales demo using Figma variables and generative AI tooling, centralizing 100+ complex experience flows into a single high-fidelity, data-driven prototype.
  • Narrative Strategy: Transformed a transactional demo into a scenario-based storytelling tool with relatable personas and links in context that humanize complex financial workflows.
  • Efficiency Gains: Reimagined the legacy legal approval workflow through AI-augmented design; 5 designers × 3 weeks became 1 designer × 1 afternoon, cutting weeks off the sales-readiness lifecycle.

Vuephoria | Founder & Creative Director

2000 – Present
  • Brand Scaling (SoloDallas): Rebranded with a design system: logo, color, typography, product lines, web, and advertising. Copywriting, design and delivery of creative campaigns including “Instant Angus” built around a Guitar Player editorial quote, “Back in Stock” — a Back in Black allusion that reframed a supply crisis — and “Vintage Trouble,” on tour with AC/DC.
  • Brand Identity (Bower USA): Partnered with the CEO to modernize a 1940s legacy brand; the logo has anchored their NYC flagship store for 20+ years and appears in the background of every New Year’s Eve broadcast from Times Square.

Publicis Sapient (Humana, Genentech, Wawa) | Senior Designer

2020 – 2021
  • Digital Transformation: Led UX strategy and end-to-end design for global leaders in heavily regulated environments; embedded user research, design-system thinking, and WCAG accessibility as a foundational practice, not a final pass.

Columbia University (Data Science Institute) | Design Lead, Consultant

2008 – 2020
  • AI & LLM Interface Design: Pioneered the front-end for a foreign Large Language Model (LLM), with multi-dialect tokenization, years before LLMs were mainstream. Introduced core UX methodologies to world-class NLP research scientists to co-design the UI.
  • Event Identity: Created multi-platform marketing for the Institute’s conferences: email invites, print, web, and onsite experiential.
  • Platform Architecture: Designed and built the secure CMS-driven platform that served as the Institute’s primary industry sales vehicle, contributing to a 600% increase in global partnerships with enterprise technology leaders including Bloomberg.

Sony Music | Advertising Manager / Digital Media Production Engineer

2006 – 2008
  • Campaign Direction: Led campaigns for Modern Times (Bob Dylan), Duets (Tony Bennett), and Continuum (John Mayer); copy and design through record label product owners and legal, up to label presidents and CEO sign-off.
  • Global Asset Governance: Designed an internal documentation platform from a fresh install so global media engineers could learn ingestion workflows: theme, architecture, ES/FR human + machine translation, and an icon system.
